I really like working with Word Press, especially for my Women in the Military blog. Although I do have a paid account now, I was really impressed with it, even when I wasn’t paying. So, I would say one of the biggest pros is the fact that it is free.
The biggest con for me is that the free account doesn’t offer a lot of control. I have yet to find a way to incorporate my own background while still having the benefit of color balance. For all I know, it is out there, and I just haven’t figured it out yet.
One of the big things I did not is that there is so much available for businesses, including the ability to build shopping carts and whatnot. Since I am not selling anything, I haven’t looked too much into it, it is kind of cool that it is there.
While I hope Word Press maintains its relationship with the small blogging community, I definitely see it as a platform that can support enterprise use as well. One of the good things about a site like Word Press that has the technology to support big business is that the technological advances they have to make to support those businesses trickles down to create a better experience for casual users.
This also reminds me I really need to update my other blog.
